I know the C word is banned for another few weeks, but

My Friend Nona and I are making cards to sell, so my task was to stamp out and mat these lovely little circles, sadly they are no longer in the SU catalogue, but they are still great little embellishments.

And this is how they look, they are punched out and stamped in real red ink

This weekend is a very crafty weekend for me, I am at a crop on Saturday and looking forward to seeing Linda and talking stamping up and then on Sunday I am going to my crop where I will meet up with Kate and some of her friends who are new to scrapbooking and looking forward to making new friends!

I am looking forward to sharing with you what we have created and what our plans are for the next few weeks, including the plans for my December 1st workshop, 20 cards in 1 day.  I day crop at which I will show you how to make 20 cards using StampinUp products in the main, imagine you could get all your special cards done, hand made by your, even for the artistically challenged!!!!

Getting ready for my first Stampin Up demonstration

Today I committed to creating all the examples for my first workshop and deciding exactly what I was going to do, I have really struggles, as I find it hard to decide what techniques to show, as most of the people coming are not crafters but would like to have a go at making something, so I wanted it to be easy but effective, I also wanted to show the same stamp set and punch being used in different ways.

Here is what I decided on.

This one is using the mosaic madness stamps set an punch, very vanilla card stock, old olive card, and a very small bit of real red.   The Sassy Salutation stamp set, scallop border punch, with real red, old olive and pumpkin pie inks.  I also embossed the actual card and envelope back which I think looks very classy!!

The birthday card is again Mosaic Madness with the flame punched out with the co ordination punch, sassy salutation for the Happy Birthday and again Old Olive and very vanilla card stock.

This one is the O Holy night stamp which I love, I have used Versamark to emboss on the very vanilla at the top of the card, and the early expresso and real red pens to colour the stamp, again stuck to very vanilla and old olive, with a small splash of real read as that is all I have!!  I have also done a tag using O Holy Night which I will post later.

I want to show in this class that you don't need a lot to start and there is lots that you can do with just a little, If you can only afford a couple of pens and one stamp now actually you can still make something, and it looks good!

Glitter

So, I was reading a blog last night that had a lovely card, with glitter card, but, amazingly, with the ridiculous amount of card stock that I have does not contain any glitter card, but what I do have is lots of glitter, I mean ridiculous amounts of glitter!!

So, how do I get around this I pondered.....I do believe that I have some heat and stick, you know
Stampin up heat and stick, Hmmmmm I thought, that could work, so I got out my Versa Mark ink pad and block inked some white card stock, then sprinkled on the heat and stick, heated with the heat gun, and sprinkled on the glitter heated to fix and hey presto, guess what I got

Glittery card, I really doesn't look great in the photo, but it is! and I am very pleased.
